In 1970 and 1971 the 911 T, E, and S rounded out the line-up of cars offered. Porsche increased the engine displacement from 2.0 to 2.2-liters. They did this by enlarging the cylinder bore to 84mm, also the cylinder heads could now breath better, because larger valves were installed. The clutch size increased from 215mm to 225mm on all the models. Ventilated disks showed up on the 911T brakes. Undercoating the chassis helped with corrosion inhibition. Other than these items, the cars looked very similar to the 1969 versions.

Of course, the Targa was still in the line-up of cars during the '70-'71 years. The one below is still in great shape, but has the wrong color grill/reflector trim for this year. 1971 cars came with chrome trim items, black trim didn't arrive until 1973. Everyone has an opinion about which they like best, just ask them. The best thing about being an enthusiast is that you can choose whatever you like best, and apply it to your own car, like this owner did.

This is an alluring view of the cockpit! Go for a drive and feel the thrill that everyone talks about. Make sure you find a curvy road without much scenery because you need to concentrate on the driving!
